We took more pictures yesterday and today, so I wanted to share them as well. On St Patty's day, we went to Kerry and Dan's for dinner to celebrate our friend Heather's birthday. We got some cute pictures of Alex in his St Patty's shirt and with the other kids there. Today we took some at home of him eating and being messy. That's about it...hives are still there but doing better. Hopefully tomorrow he'll be cleared up..JPG)

Alex is 13 months old! (Happy St. Patty's Day)
Alex is walking all over the place and tries to pick up speed every so often. He is into everything he can get his hands on and does not like anything to be taken away. He loves snacks, and will bang on the pantry door if he wants one and can't find a bag of anything in his diaper bag. He sometimes makes the sign for more but mostly likes to do a repetitive whine when he needs you to open something for him. He is finally all over the cold, flu, ear infection but is not doing too well. Sunday morning he woke up with welts on his face, and by Sunday evening, they were all over his body and his feet and hands were so swollen, his little toes were purple. This continued Monday and the doctor said it is an allergic reaction to the amoxicillin he finished on Friday. No wonder he hated taking that stuff so much! Poor kiddo--he just can't get a break. He is in better spirits today, but still has the hives. We give him Benedryl every 4 hours or so. He can't go to the CDC, so more time home with mom this week until he clears up--the doctor says it could take several days til the medicine gets out of his system. Hopefully he can stay completely healthy for a little while.
We finally got our airplane out of hiding this past weekend. I flew it from Kenmare to Minot, picked up Andy and Alex, and we took a quick ride around the town. I had to have a few maintenance items taken care of, then I will probably take it back to the hangar this coming weekend. I was up in the high 40's Sunday afternoon and Monday too, so we got to take some short walks outside.
Pictures are mostly of Alex enjoying some toys. You can see his teeth (all 7) pretty well in a few of them. There are also a couple of Andy and I at the International Military Ball that we went to on Feb 28th. He likes to play with the bubbles and yes, he is wearing his Lightning McQueen snow boots--had to get them for outside play time at the CDC (if he ever gets there and it's above 15 degrees)..JPG)
The countdown is on for our move to AL. We will leave around Jun 22nd, so only 3 months and a few days to go!

We are all sick--again
Well, the whole family is sick again. Andy is actually in Shreveport this week, so I can't vouch for his sickness level (apparently not bad enough to prevent multiple golf games), but Alex and I are both pretty bad off. According to the pediatrician, Alex has the flu and an ear infection. Lovely. As for me, I have some sort of severe cold mostly in my chest, so I've been hacking away for days. Just to make it more fun, I re-pinched the nerve in my back, same as I did about 5 years ago. I also had mastitis though that has mostly cleared up. So, it's been a fun week!! Poor Alex has had a cold since the 14th, but he's been running a fever since Saturday and seemed to be getting worse. Now he's on the disgusting pink antibiotics he hates for the ear infection, but there's not much to do for the flu symptoms except tylenol. He is sleeping quite a bit during the day, and not too badly at night. I can't take him to the cdc while he is this sick, so we've just been home together. Andy comes home tomorrow, and hopefully we'll all start feeling better soon! According to the downtown pediatrician's office this week, Alex weighed 21 lbs, 7 oz. It was much later in the day than his weigh-in at his one year appointment last week and on a different scale, so I guess that's why there is such a big difference.
